The brainchild of Khun Sumatha Kachornboon, formerly a forestry
official and an avid conservationist, Forest Home will appeal to
people who are attracted to green spaces. The 50 rai site was chosen
some ten years ago and the gardens have been allowed to mature over
this decade, attracting the animals, birds and spectacular butterflies
that form the fragile ecosystem that the land now nurtures. Khun
Sumatha summarises the project's theme as "forest and home
being in harmony with one another. "
The project is being developed by the Grand Garden and Land company
and will comprise 60 fully detached houses on land plots ranging
from 400 - 1200sq. m, as well as a communal club house, park, swimming
pool and tennis courts. Buyers may choose one of five contemporary
architectural styles although each unit will enjoy unique design
specifications setting it apart from the others. The houses will
have two to three bedrooms, each with ensuite bathroom and separate
maid's quarters. The built-in area of each unit will vary from 150
- 280sq. m. Interiors are designed with functionality in mind and
each room of the house will boast a serene view of the surrounding
forest.
Despite the development's potential as a quiet hide-away in Bangkok,
it is located conveniently adjacent to a major roadway which serves
as a gateway between both worlds. Thus the service and leisure amenities
populating the area are easily reached; five golf courses, the Science
Museum and Dream World amusement park. Nearby Tesco, Makro and the
colossal Future Park shopping centre add to the convenience of this
location.
